What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist (Plasma) position at North American Construction Services?
At Fives, we all have a part to play in achieving our common mission. Your role will be to :
- Setting up and operating the CNC machine, adjusting machine settings to maintain tolerances
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and design models
- Performs minor machine maintenance, such as oiling machines, dies, or workpieces
- Observing machine operation for accuracy and detecting malfunctions
- Structural layout using squares, center heads, tape measure, and other measuring devices
- Inputting design specifications into the CNC machine
- Operate hand torch, hand plasma, track burner, overhead crane and jib hoist
- Inspecting workpieces for defects and measuring accuracy using rulers or templates.
