There are currently 270 KIPP schools across the nation serving nearly 100,000 students. Founded in 2002, KIPP Memphis Public Schools (KMPS) serves over 1,800 K-12 students in our five North Memphis schools and almost 900 alumni on their journeys to-and-through college with our KIPP Forward Program. Position Overview :
The Parent Ambassador is a critical advocate for KIPP Memphis Public Schools, playing a pivotal role in student recruitment, promoting the KIPP brand, and championing the growth of the KIPP model in Shelby County, TN. This role is ideal for passionate parents or guardians committed to supporting KMPS' vision of academic excellence and community empowerment. Parent Ambassadors will actively engage with the community to attract new families, share personal experiences to highlight the transformative impact of KMPS, and advocate for the organization's continued growth and success.
Key Responsibilities :
- Student Recruitment & Advocacy :
- Actively engage in community outreach to recruit prospective families and students to KMPS schools.
- Share positive experiences and success stories from KMPS to inspire and attract new families.
- Represent KMPS at community events, school fairs, and other forums to promote enrollment opportunities.
- Work closely with each school's recruitment team
