Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Part-Time Stationary Engineer to join our team and help maintain the safe and efficient operation of building systems in a downtown office building. This role primarily covers a 7-hour shift every other Saturday morning, with additional opportunities to fill in during weekday shifts when our full-time engineers are on vacation or out sick.
Responsibilities:
- · Operate, maintain, and monitor mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- · Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks.
- · Respond to building system alarms, troubleshoot issues, and perform minor repairs.
- · Maintain logs and records related to system operations.
- · Communicate effectively with property management and contractors as needed.
- · Ensure compliance with safety procedures and applicable codes.
Requirements:
- · Valid Stationary Engineer license (or equivalent certification required by local jurisdiction).
- · Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a commercial or office building setting.
- · Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- · Availability for scheduled Saturday shifts and flexibility to cover weekdays on short notice.
- · Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Schedule:
- · Regular Shift: Every other Saturday, approximately 6:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- · On-Call Availability: Weekday coverage as needed
