North American Lighting Inc., a leading manufacturer of automotive exterior lighting, seeks a skilled Production Engineer - II to join its team. The ideal candidate will design and implement efficient production processes, ensuring new product designs can be manufactured effectively.
The Production Engineer - II will provide technical support for processes engineering in the plant, addressing customer complaints and conducting investigations to identify root causes and develop countermeasures.
The role also involves coordinating project schedules, designing and purchasing new equipment, and managing installation and start-up. Additionally, the successful candidate will identify opportunities for Value Engineering/Value Analysis (VE/VA) and standard parts implementation in new product designs.
To succeed in this position, candidates should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline, along with 2-4 years of related manufacturing experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides day-to-day technical support for processes engineering in the plant.
- Addresses internal and external customer complaints, conducts investigations, develops root cause analysis, determines countermeasures, and documents using NAL problem-solving methods.
- Supports Program Management-generated project macro-schedules with detailed engineering micro-schedules to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
- Coordinates the design and purchase of new equipment and manages installation and start-up.
- Identifies VE/VA ideas and standard parts to be implemented into new product designs.
