What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator position at North American Renewables inc.?
Core Responsibilities:
- Operate construction equipment including but not limited to foundation installation equipment, skid steer, powered industrial truck (extended reach forklift, lull, etc.)
- Maintain safety culture on and off project site with field team. Integrate safety into the development of field team. Conduct daily toolbox talks, verbal review of JSA's, and stretch and flex circle each day.
- Perform routine equipment inspections, maintain accurate equipment checklist, perform preventative maintenance tasks on equipment (i.e. grease equipment each morning)
- Ensure proper use, security, and maintenance of all company equipment during construction.
- Execute, track, and record daily production of scope of work being performed and provide back to project Foreman each day.
- Perform work to the highest level of safety and quality.
- Perform daily QA/QC inspections of responsible work, and document inventory of all products that arrive in the field. NCR completed for any potential issues, including shortages, quality issues, incorrect material etc.
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend throughout the day and ability to lift 50 lbs throughout the shift.
- Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather year rain including, but not limited to rain, snow, heat, cold temperatures, muddy site conditions, etc.).
- Act in a way and use the company's core values to guide your day-to-day decision making to build upon company culture.
- Perform responsibilities above and beyond your specific role within the company when needed or identified as needed to further assist in company goals and objectives.
- 1-2 years of solar installation experience
- 1-3 years of equipment operation experience
- Strong commitment to job site safety and efficiency
- Interest in continuing learning and growth in the solar industry
- OSHA 10 training required.
