What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, Warehouse Operations (Internal Candidates Only) position at North American Rescue?
SUMMARY
Participate as a TEAM member within the Operations Department. This NAR Supervisory Role ensures quality handling of incoming materials, including product components and completed products, their movement internally, and their preparation for departure through customer order fulfillment processing. The primary purpose is to oversee all activities related to materials movement within the facility from receipt through departure while maintaining inventory accuracy and FEFO & FIFO product utilization.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
This is not an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities. Projects/duties may be modified/changed/added/deleted as needed.
- Know/understand NAR Products, as directed; their quality requirements (macro level for specs/lot control)
- Know/understand NAR Product “packaging” requirements.
- Directly supervise fellow NAR associate(s) as assigned, and which may also include SCVRD Clients and contracted personnel
- Develop/communicate/document training instructions/procedures for all those under direction to complete warehouse tasks,
- Executes activities that relate to fulfilling customer orders, including examination of received orders, segregation of pallet orders, identification of APO orders, identification of Next Day and/or Urgent orders; and the related pick/pull/pack tasks to fill shipping boxes that protect the product(s)
- Understand NAR product receiving, processing, and shipping per documented procedures.
- Oversee receiving procedures, including inspections, lot tracking, labeling, and proper storage.
- Coordinate with Assembly to fulfill inventory pulls and delivery per schedule.
- Support Customer Service with shipment quotes, bills of lading, and freight coordination.
- Work with the Commercial Manager to prioritize orders and prevent shipment delays.
- Investigate and report on shipping discrepancies.
- Complete data entry tasks promptly via online systems, scanners, or paper records.
- Ensure inventory accuracy by scheduling cycle counts to meet financial compliance, counting all bin locations twice per fiscal year.
- Support NAR QMS compliance, facilitate FDA inspections for military orders, and ensure preparedness for a passing inspection.
- Understand NAR order processing and shipping authorization; coordinate with Assembly and Customer Service to prevent backorders.
- Collaborate with Ops Team and NAR Associates to support internal customers.
- Support the VP of Operations and executive management in serving stakeholders.
- Train, direct, and supervise warehouse associates and contractors in receiving, movement, and shipping of NAR products.

SUPPLEMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completes any other duties and/or projects assigned by the supervisor.
- Manage department activity efficiency to ensure sufficient resources are available and premium/overtime work is minimized.
AUTHORITY
- Perform receiving, internal movement, and shipping per approved protocols.
- Develop and implement work instructions for warehouse tasks.
- Manage selection and approval of qualified warehouse personnel.
ACCOUNTABILITY
- Ensure all warehouse staff handling NAR products and packaging are properly trained and qualified.
- Ensure receiving, movement, and shipping processes uphold a quality image and products arrive in good condition.
- Prioritize FEFO/FIFO for product movement while maintaining unit accuracy
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business and/or related field preferred
Competency and Skills
- Demonstrated knowledge and essential experience in MS Excel spreadsheet creation and interpretation is preferred; previous material handling duties/responsibilities are required.
Experience
- Two years minimum in a supervisory or team lead role in a product warehouse/production/assembly environment.

DEMANDS
Time and Availability
- Must be able to work normal or extended work hours.
- Occasionally may have to work extended hours on the weekends.
Travel
- Ability to be absent from home for multiple days at a time and multiple times per year to support any warehouse processing/shipping/freight-related issues that may require troubleshooting and resolution on behalf of external customers and our company.
Physical
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds frequently.
- Personal tasks are completed in both office and warehouse/assembly environments.
- Ability to use a computer, including visual acuity and hand-eye coordination.
- Frequently sitting at a desk and using a computer keyboard.
- Occasional bending, squatting, stooping, and reaching.
