Assist with ensuring NARS’ Third-Party Administrator licenses are also timely renewed and tracked. Work with all teams to create a more efficient process for adjuster and TPA appointments to ensure compliance with state and regulatory requirements, inclusive of continuing education requirements. Research and reviews current state and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance by NARS and report changes in adjuster and TPA renewals to Management so changes in systems, if needed, can be implemented. This position reports to NARS’ Compliance and Legal Departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handles and assists with direct appointments for all Florida insurance Adjusters, Washington insurance Adjusters and insurance Adjusters in all other states requiring direct appointments.
- Tracks the license and appointment status for NARS and all NARS’ adjusters in all states and all lines of business.
- Works with third-party systems or vendors, including, but not limited to, state registry websites, state registry portals, WebCE and CLM to assist with tracking adjuster appointments.
- Implement a process to reappoint adjusters every two years (or when renewal dates exist) before their appointment lapses.
- Works with adjusters, third-party vendors and NARS accounting team to assist with reimbursement for any license fees and/or CE courses.
- Work with Human Resources to ensure adjusters who leave NARS do not continue to maintain NARS’ Adds adjuster licensing information, including state of licenses, line of business(es) and expiration dates in NARS’ claim handling software systems as well as tracking any information in any additional back-up systems (i.e. Excel).
- Assist with on-boarding new personnel to discuss adjuster licenses required, systems for tracking licenses and information required to obtain licenses. Works with newly hired adjusters to ensure licenses are timely obtained/appointed.
- Conducts audits and/or works with NARS’ QA Department to confirm licenses are in place for individuals and license information is properly in NARS’ claim system.
- Work with NARS’ Training Department to obtain information on Continuing Education (CE) courses for adjusters and track adjuster’s completion of CE courses required for license maintenance.
- Perform analysis and audits to identify areas for process improvements and make recommendations to the Manager.
- Create and review reports generated relating to adjuster information, CE information and TPA license information to review for any renewals and report missing information to managers.
- Assist with issuing reminders for both appointment renewals and CE requirements.
- Assists Compliance Department with Adjuster licensing verifications, reporting to all Unit Managers monthly.
- Completes and mails, applications, renewals and form letters as directed.
- Assists with compliance with state regulatory reporting requirements.
- Works with third-party vendors or states which require the payment of bonds for TPA licenses.
- Research and review changes in state or federal law to ensure adjuster license requirements and TPA requirements are current.
- Performs other assigned tasks or duties as required or directed.
- This role requires extended periods of computer screen usage for tasks such as data entry, research, and virtual meetings.
- The ability to maintain focus and productivity while working for long hours in front of a screen is essential.
Education / Licensing:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- FL Adjuster’s License preferred.
- 2 years' experience working with state or regulatory agencies on licensing or compliance matters.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 2 years of licensing, compliance and/or state regulatory experience.
- Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information.
- Advanced knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software. (Microsoft Office platform.)
- Superior phone skills.
- Must be able to work independently and possess excellent written and verbal skills
- Must be able to scan information and create digital records of paper accounts/documents.
- Reading Comprehension, Basic Math and Accounting knowledge.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely with adjusters, state regulators, continuing education organizations, human resources and other involved parties.
- Requires long periods of sitting.
- Requires consistent data entry/typing ability.
- Repeated use of keyboard, mouse, and exposure to computer screen.
- Repeated use of computer scanners.
- Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions requires lifting of files and boxes up to approximately 20 pounds.
