We have a new opportunity at our Tampa headquarters for a Fleet and Rental Supervisor. This key position is an individual contributor role, offering the chance to take the lead in several areas and take ownership of essential duties. The person in this role will oversee commercial vehicles and processes, manage rental requirements, while helping to handle procurement and equipment responsibilities ensuring operational needs are met efficiently.
Job Duties:
- Oversee 60 commercial vehicles, drivers, and related assets.
- Ensure safe and cost-effective utilization of vehicles and drivers.
- Facilitate and monitor maintenance schedules, services records, and operational efficiency.
- Create and enforce fleet and rental policies based on company requirements.
- Monitor and pay tolls, traffic violations, and fines. Enforce compliance with driving laws and regulations with administering disciplinary actions to employees who violate driving rules and laws.
- Create inventory procedures and recovery process for roofing equipment utilized by service or install crews.
- Track fleet usage and reporting with Geotab.
- Maintain vehicle and trailer annual inspections and registrations
- Maintain and audit company list of approved drivers including running annual MVR reports in accordance with company and federal guidelines. Create policy and process and enforce compliance.
- Provide fleet and vehicle maintenance training for new employees and/or new drivers
- Communicate with Project Managers and direct supervisor to assess proper rental needs for each job.
- Evaluate most cost effective and time efficient options for rental needs on each job.
- Track rentals internally within the company’s systems.
- Maintain records of costs compared to estimates, communicating overages and savings with Project Managers and direct supervisor.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Hybrid work schedule with 3 days per week at our Tampa office
- 1-3 years of experience in fleet coordination or management
- Proficient knowledge in industrial and construction equipment preferred
- General construction or roofing industry experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
