Key Responsibilities
The primary duties of the Line Mechanic include:
- Equipment Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify potential problems and address them promptly by correcting issues or writing work orders for completion by other maintenance personnel.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with the Line Engineer to develop, procure, and execute changes to equipment and processes that enhance quality, productivity, and reliability. This involves defining problems, developing solutions, and writing/executing work orders.
- Maintenance Program Enhancements: Work with the Line Engineer to improve the preventive/predictive maintenance program by generating new work orders, editing existing ones, and maintaining work orders generated by AS400.
- Scheduled Outage Planning and Execution: Assist the Line Engineer in developing and executing scheduled line outages, including gathering information, writing work orders, supervising execution, and troubleshooting equipment.
- Plant Support: Perform work in assigned lines during major outages or special circumstances, backing up maintenance when necessary, and interacting with Operations Personnel to determine the functionality of repairs or modifications.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:
- A minimum of a High School Degree or Equivalent (GED)
- Two-year industrial experience and/or technical degree in the related field
- Two years of experience working in NAS maintenance department
- Minimum skill level on PC/computers
