Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at North American Stainless. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional Mechanical Engineering services and technical support to our Maintenance and Operation departments.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and prioritize tasks for Mechanical technicians in crane maintenance.
- Analyze machinery and equipment problems to improve quality, productivity, and reduce downtime.
- Redesign, re-engineer, or retrofit machinery and equipment to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Develop project plans, create engineering drawings, write reports, estimate costs, obtain bids, and manage work orders.
- Implement Preventative Maintenance Programs to increase equipment up-time and reduce maintenance costs.
- Provide technical expertise and support to Maintenance Personnel on various projects and programs.
- Manage spare parts inventory, control work order jobs, prepare work instructions, and review completed work for proper completion.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- One year of experience in an industrial environment.
- Basic computer skills required.
Working Environment:
The selected candidate will work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations, adhering to company safety rules, and reporting any contraventions to the Supervisor or Manager immediately.
