Maintenance Technician - 2nd shift Come grow with us…North American Stamping Group in Paulding Ohio seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team!   This position is for 2nd shift at our facility in Paulding, OH. 2nd shift hours are:  3:30 PM – 12:00 AM, and  have a 7.5% shift premium Your success is our success… The Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Team Leader or designate. This position is to ensure that production equipment is kept in a safe and operable condition to assure efficient production of quality parts and to implement predictive and proactive maintenance systems to avoid costly and unscheduled downtime.   What you get in return ….Up to $31.05 per hour (depending on level of experience) and an additional bonus opportunity to earn up to an additional $3.00 per hour performance bonus, along with a full benefits package. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing plant production equipment, support equipment and building related assets.  Primary duty is to ensure all related equipment is ready to run at peak efficiency and to facilitate preventative, predictive and general maintenance, and complete repairs when deficiencies are found.  Works with engineering, production, and quality departments to support internal and external customers. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Maintains equipment in a like new "ready to run" condition. Performs preventative and predictive maintenance as directed by Maintenance Manager Performs scheduled repairs as directed by Maintenance Manager Troubleshoots electrical and mechanical breakdowns as needed and completes repairs following NASG best practices. Uses data and proven facts to identify root cause Complete detailed electronic work orders daily ensuring work is documented with accurate descriptions of the root cause and what was done to repair the problem. Works in a safe manner following all internal and external policies and regulations and is a leader in safe work practices. Supports the design and implementation of improvements to new and existing equipment to countermeasure previous breakdowns. Orders or suggests ordering maintenance spare parts, consumables and other maintenance supplies as needed. Works with outside contractors to complete projects as required. Effectively communicates status of repairs, projects or other work Participates in Associate Involvement Teams and/or projects for Process Improvements as well as suggests methods for improvements Maintain a clean and safe work area Works overtime as required to support production (with or without notice) Must be available to travel (infrequently) Must be able to read/interpret blueprints, schematics and diagrams Must be familiar with GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerances) Familiarity with CAD software for electronic drawings Assists in training and baseline certification of new maintenance associates MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or equivalent Two years college or accredited trade school preferred OR five years relevant work experience in lieu of formal training EXPERIENCE: Knowledge, experience working with automated high speed assembly equipment Knowledge, proven experience working with automated resistance welding Knowledge, experience working with robotic GMAW weld cells Working Knowledge and experience with PLC based control systems Working knowledge and experience with hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, accumulators and controls Working knowledge and experience with pneumatic systems, air compressors, valves, tanks, pressure vessels and controls Knowledge, experience working with power transmission, gears, chains, belts, bearings, gear reducers Strong manufacturing maintenance background Strong manufacturing electrical background Strong troubleshooting experience, 5 Why and root cause analysis Robot programming skills helpful, but not required for this role PERSONAL/TECHNICAL SKILLS: Strong organizational skills Able to work unsupervised for short periods of time Strong problem solving skills Ability to plan and perform functions of assigned duties Able to work in a fast paced, multi cultural environment Follow safe work practices in accordance with Company policies and government regulations Active listener, listens to learn and understand Able to work along and as part of a team Able to successfully multitask Able to effectively communicate with all levels of management, peers and others Able to interpret drawings, schematics, and diagrams Practical experience working in  fast paced manufacturing environment, preferably in automotive industry  LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to read, write , understand and communicate in primary language used in the workplace.  English for US and Canada locations, Spanish in Mexico location, preferably bilingual for Mexico COMPUTER/SOFTWARE: Basic working knowledge of MS Office, Work, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook AutoCAD, Solid Works, DraftSight, ShopEdge CMMS systems, MP2, eMaint, Maximo, etc.   TRAINING: TQPS for New Hires Environmental, Health & Safety IATF 16949/ISO 14001 Quality Basics TQPS for Team Members - Stop, Call, Swarm Associate Involvement Quick Changeover (i.e. SMED, OTED) 5S and Visual Management Basic Equipment Care (BEC and TPM) TQPS for Leadership/ TL and GL TWI/SWD Boot Camp (standard work Development) Blueprint/GD&T   Work Environment/Conditions: Plant:  Various types of manufacturing environments.   ·   Standard automotive plant environment with moderate noise level.  ·   PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, Kevlar sleeves, hearing protection, etc. may be required in designated engineering, manufacturing, or industrial areas.  ·   Involves moderate or occasional presence of some slightly disagreeable conditions, i.e., cold, dust, heat, odor, working at heights etc.   Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
