Come grow with us…North American Stamping is looking to hire an experienced Stamping Press Operator at our TNS facility in PULASKI, TN.  2nd shift hours are from 3:00pm – 11:30pm.  This position pays $23.15 per hour plus an Additional 7.5% Shift Premium. This position is to perform primarily office and non-manual quality functions designed to service Production through consultation and oversight. Responsibilities include general quality operations including the creating and maintenance of quality and engineering documentation. The Quality Specialist conducts CMM operation and part verification in compliance with applicable Quality Management System (QMS) procedures, and maintenance of gage procurement and calibration system.   What you get in return …The most competitive pay in the industry based upon your skill level, along with a full benefits package. GENERAL SUMMARY Safely and efficiently operate a stamping press producing stamped parts. The primary focus being on safety, quality, and efficient production techniques by utilizing the NASG Press standards and procedures. Continuous improvement attitude with a willingness to adopt new ideas/skills using the TQPS principles of TSL. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS    A.         Operate stamping Presses as required - including any auxiliary equipment. B.         5-S as a PRIORITY - Keep station clean and orderly. C.         Initiate press start-up and adjust as required after a set-up. D.         Changeover & Set-up of stamping dies and presses.  E.         Adjust process parameters as dictated from the Die Set-up sheet F.         Set-up and adjust auxiliary equipment as required: coil feeders, straighteners, etc. G.         Part Inspection per Inspection Instructions: This includes visual inspections, & associated H.         Die Set-up sheets - report updated information to Leaders as needed. I.          Verify production schedule using the Shop Edge system. J.         Report all quality, production or safety problems to the Team Leader. K.         Perform & maintain 5-S standards in area of responsibility. L.         Suggest methods of improvement, (i.e. continuous improvement plan & performance award program). M.        Available for overtime as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Education:  •           High school diploma or GED - minimum •           Basic computer skills •           Demonstrated basic math skills Experience:  •           2 Years manufacturing •           Demonstrate written and verbal communication skills •           Prefer previous experience in an assembly / manufacturing environment. Personal/Technical Skills:  •           Ability to work with a dynamic and demanding team. •           Accurate, efficient, & proactive in daily duties. •           Ability to conduct basic maintenance or mechanical activities as required. •           Ability to work at a fast pace. •           Accountable - teachable - approachable •           Ability to learn, make decisions, and be creative & flexible. •           Ability to problem solve. •           Capable of lifting 50 pounds •           Ability to stand up for a minimum of 8 hours. Language Skills: •           Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Computer/Software: •           Demonstrate basic computer skills WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS Plant:  Various types of manufacturing environments. •           Standard automotive plant environment with moderate noise level.   •           PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, Kevlar sleeves, hearing protection, etc. may be required in designated         engineering, manufacturing, or industrial areas.  Personal attire standards may apply. •           Involves moderate or occasional presence of some slightly disagreeable conditions, i.e., cold, dust, heat, odor, etc. Travel:  •     No travel required PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
