This position is responsible for maintaining customer and NASG quality standards and policies, supporting the plant team to resolve concerns, driving corrective and preventative actions and continuous improvements, and development of engineering and technical staff within the Quality department.North American Stamping Group is a privately held company founded in 1978. Education Requirements
High School Diploma
Experience Requirements
Minimum 3 years manufacturing experience
Minimum 3 years stamping experience or related field.
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Quality Engineer or related experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Will have the ability to work a schedule that allows completion of the job on a daily basis.
Fundamental use of Minitab and statistical analysis
Fundamentals of the PPAP process

Necessary skills to aid in gauge design and purchase of applicable gauges.
Fundamental understanding of GD&T, Gauge R & R, SPC, and Quality Inspection Techniques
Fundamental understanding of Control Plans, FMEA's, Flow Diagrams and In-Process Inspection.
Detail oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.
Microcomputer (PC) and Microsoft Office knowledge.
Demonstrate strong leadership abilities.
Demonstrate a "hands on" approach".
Will possess the organizational skills necessary to maintain company records in compliance with the Quality Assurance department and procedures.
Principle Duties and/or Responsibilities
Act as the Primary contact for all customer quality issues and represent NASG as required to resolve issues.
Lead Problem Solving activities for the timely resolution to CAR’s and customer quality related issues.
Assist production with inspection, SPC, gauge use.
Perform routine inspections, dimensional studies, as necessary.
Perform or coordinate statistical or dimensional studies on quality related issues.
Serve as an Internal Auditor
Lead Corrective and Preventative teams and maintain and track Open Issues Logs.
Assist with PPAP submissions.
Communicate applicable DCR's to change QMS documentation.
Assist Six Sigma / Preventive Action Process.
Work closely with manufacturing to resolve quality concerns or questions
Support all facets of the NASG Quality System
In addition to performing primary duties, the individual shall provide support where deemed necessary by Management.
