Job Overview :
The Strategic Marketing Director will lead the strategic direction for marketing, focusing on market analysis, growth strategy, and protecting the core business while identifying opportunities for market share expansion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Develop and drive strategic marketing strategies that align with Cooper’s objectives to protect core markets while collaborating with Business development to identify growth opportunities in new regions and segments.
- Collaborate with sales teams to ensure marketing initiatives directly support pipeline growth and conversion.
- Leverage CRM and marketing automation tools to optimize customer engagement, sales operations, lead generation, and proposal management.
- Monitor and analyze market trends to anticipate changes in customer behavior and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Be a change agent. This involves overseeing sales operations with a focus on enhancing sales processes, implementing cutting-edge sales technology, and ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.
- Collaborate with sales, pricing, and analytics teams to enhance the bidding process, ensuring data-driven pricing strategies and optimized sales attainment.
- Develop and implement sales forecasts and strategies. Optimize sales process and tools.
- Conduct and analyze market research to identify trends, customer behaviors / needs, and the competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions and shape a product / industry specific marketing strategy.
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships and alliances to expand market reach, drive initiatives, and enter new markets / countries.
- Align sales strategies with marketing initiatives to maximize market penetration and revenue.
- Travel ~25% of the time.
