Sioux Falls Truck & Trailer is looking for a motivated individual to fill an open position of Route Driver. The successful candidate must be highly motivated with previous experience.

We are seeking a reliable and responsible Route Driver to join our team. The Parts Delivery Driver plays a vital role in ensuring that our customers receive the right automotive parts and equipment in a timely and efficient manner. If you are a skilled driver with excellent customer service skills and a commitment to safety, we want to hear from you.
This would be a (4) day work week with a $15.00 daily per diem for lunch.
Job Responsibilities:
- Driving: Safely operate a delivery vehicle (often a truck or van) to transport goods from one location to another along assigned routes.
- Loading and Unloading: Load goods onto the vehicle and unload at delivery points, ensuring the proper handling and security of the cargo.
- Route Navigation: Follow established routes and schedules, using GPS or maps as needed, to ensure timely deliveries.
- Customer Interaction: Interact professionally with customers at delivery points, ensuring accurate delivery and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance tasks such as checking oil levels, fueling, and cleaning the vehicle regularly.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate delivery and driver logs, including mileage, fuel records, and delivery documentation.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Job Qualifications:
- Valid Driver's License: Possession of a valid driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle being driven.
- Driving Experience: Prior experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role may be required, depending on the employer.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move heavy packages and goods, as well as the stamina to handle a physically demanding job.
- Time Management: Strong time management skills to ensure timely deliveries along designated routes.
- Customer Service Skills: Good interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers and address their needs effectively.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in completing paperwork and ensuring correct delivery of goods.
Additional Skills (depending on the employer):
- Knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns.
- Ability to use navigation tools such as GPS devices or maps effectively.
- Forklift operation or other specialized equipment skills, if required.
