Located 60 miles east of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, this independent, 166-bed acute care community hospital is the sole community provider for this college town and rural county. Nearly every specialty of medicine and surgery is represented on the active medical staff, with a mix of employed and private physicians on staff.
Great opportunity for a fellowship-trained, BE / BC surgeon to build a vascular program. The opportunity is hospital employed partnership in the community. Call coverage is available from General Surgery. This is an ideal situation with an underutilized cardiac catheterization & peripheral angiography lab, a non-invasive Vascular lab, a 64-slice CT, a Center for Wound Healing with two hyperbaric oxygen chambers, an established Vein Clinic, and a strong regional dialysis. The position can be 100% Vascular / Endovascular, or combined with General Surgery and / or non-cardiac Thoracic Surgery.
