Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiovascular Sonographer to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic cardiovascular ultrasound examinations, including echocardiograms, vascular studies, and other related procedures. You will work closely with cardiologists to provide accurate diagnostic information to aid in patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of cardiovascular ultrasound procedures, including transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms, Doppler ultrasound, and vascular studies.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to produce and record images of the heart and vascular structures.
- Analyze and interpret ultrasound data, providing preliminary findings to the supervising physician.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure the proper documentation of procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain equipment in good working order.
- Educate patients on procedures and provide excellent patient care before, during, and after examinations.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
- Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiovascular sonography.
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining ultrasound equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- BLS Certification is required.
