Job Summary
This is an ideal part-time job opportunity for current nursing school students or Pre-med students. Established internal medicine solo practice has an immediate opening for a part-time Medical Assistant or Medical Receptionist. This is a great opportunity to join a small, thriving and friendly medical practice to serve the growing needs of community. The medical assistant will work in either the Alpharetta office (Mon, Friday) and/or the Duluth office (Tues, Wednesday, Thursday). We provide all the necessary on-the-job training for qualified and self-motivated individual. Excellent part-time job gaining valuable clinical experience in an outpatient clinical setting with very flexible working hours.
Responsibilities and Duties
The main responsibilities of the Medical Assistant or Medical Receptionist include
-- Prepare exam rooms, obtain vital signs and input data into EMR.
-- Assist with specialist referrals.
_ _Insurance Verification
-- Scanning medical documents into EMR.
-- Answer phone calls, take messages, call in prescriptions.
-- Schedule appointments, input patient demographics into EMR,
-- Check patient in and out, collect copayments and deductibles.
Qualifications
- Nursing school students or premed students preferred
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (highly recommended but not required)
- Certified Medical Assistant (highly recommended but not required)
- Bilingual communication in English and Chinese or Spanish (preferred but not required)

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
