Summary:
Under direct supervision, the Drafter assists the engineering team by creating and updating cable drawings and wiring diagrams.
Requirements:- Create and revise simple cable drawings and wiring diagrams using CAD software, preferably Autodesk inventor and AutoCAD.
- Support engineers in preparing and maintaining documentation for cable assemblies.
- Update existing drawings based on marked-up prints or engineering input.
- Help organize and archive design files and revisions according to company procedures.
- Learn and follow drafting standards and engineering best practices.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical school coursework or certification in drafting or CAD preferred.
- Basic knowledge of SolidWorks or similar 2D/3D CAD software.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Some familiarity with wiring components, connectors, or cable layouts is a plus.
- Familiar with wiring 38999 or equivalent connectors.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
