Requirements
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative monitoring of production dates to ensure timely delivery of products as part of scheduling management.
- Maintain a steady supply of raw materials, components, and tools to production areas to prevent work stoppages.
- Work closely with machine shop personnel, planning, and purchasing to ensure smooth production flow, minimizing bottlenecks.
- Coordinate priorities with vendors/outside finishing houses.
- Plan, schedule, and manage production orders to align with customer demand and inventory availability.
- Develop and analyze production schedules to ensure capacity meets demand.
- Assist in monitoring inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, and updating ERP/MRP systems.
- Identify shortages, prioritize replenishment, and escalate material constraints to relevant teams.
- Lead or participate in production meetings to communicate material and scheduling updates.
- Support Lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S and continuous improvement projects.
- Ensure proper documentation and tracking of material movement, updating records as necessary.
- Proactively identify, prioritize, and track shortages to mitigate production delays in shortage management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in material/production planning or a similar role preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and multitask effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address material shortages and scheduling conflicts.
- Basic understanding of bill of materials (BOM) and engineering drawings.
- 1- 3 years of experience with MRP/ERP systems.
- Experience with production and/or material planning and forecasting operations
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across the organization.
- Working knowledge of continuous improvement (Lean) activities preferred.
- Experience with contract manufacturing interactions is a plus.
- Experience as a Buyer/Planner is a plus.
