Job Overview
We are seeking a few dedicated and detail-oriented plant enthusiasts to join our growing team. This position is 20 hours a week and the exact hourly schedule can be revisited each month to accommodate other personal, educational, or parental demands.
The role includes all tasks related to the online sales of collector houseplants including maintenance, propagation, sales, and distribution to the United States and Canada. The role will be fluid day over day and applicants will need to be flexible and willing to learn the processes and tasks that are needed any given week or day.
The ideal candidate has any combination of nursery center, retail order fulfillment, online marketplace management experience, and horticulture training. Training and upward mobility opportunities will be provided for candidates who show a willingness and desire to learn and grow with the company.
Responsibilities

- Pick, prep, pack, and box up plants/cuttings for customers
- Inventory, photograph, and upload inventory drops to the website and other online marketplaces.
- Water, trellis, and maintain health of existing inventory and mother stock
- Propagate, label, and price customer offerings based on current market trends
- Process, plant, and acclimate new arrival inventory from overseas
- Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and order fulfillment areas.
Required Experience
- 1-2 years minimum of nursery center or collector plant sales experience
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to perform repetitive tasks to a high degree of accuracy every time. The plants we grow and sell are a premium product and require precise care (will be trained).
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order fulfillment environment is preferred.
- Existing passion for houseplants and plant care
- Desire to assist with process design and quality assurance standards/documentation as the company grows
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks throughout the shift such as shelf/rack rearrangement and movement of supply boxes, crouching to water lower shelves of plants, retrieving boxes at ground level for supply boxes, etc...
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
