Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and maintaining an aseptic environment.
- Document patient medical histories and maintain accurate medical records.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage patient appointments and maintain an organized schedule.
- Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft for patient management and documentation.
- Perform basic laboratory tasks as needed, including impressions and temporary restorations.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred required.
- Proficient in infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
- Experience with prosthodontics is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with children and adults alike.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification in dental assisting or equivalent training is preferred.
