Job Summary
The North Beach School District is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the position of Early Childhood Program Facilitator. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the Early Steps to School Success (ESSS) program, which aims to support pregnant families and kindergarten readiness for children ages 0-5 years throughout the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit and engage pregnant families and children in the ESSS program
- Plan and schedule regular program activities, including home visiting, parent-child groups, and transition-to-school activities
- Provide regular home visits using a Save the Children approved home visiting curriculum
- Organize and conduct regular parent-child groups
- Conduct child developmental screening and family assessments
- Connect families to community resources and make referrals as needed
Essential Qualifications
- Highly motivated and flexible individual with a strong ability to work independently
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood development and family engagement
- Home Visiting experience and working with pregnant women and children ages birth to five
- Strengths-based and non-judgmental approach to engaging and working with parents and caregivers
- Strong cultural knowledge of the targeted communities and understanding of critical challenges and assets available to families
