Position Description
JOB TITLE: In School Suspension Facilitator
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma;
Two years of college or an Associate's Degree;
working knowledge of computer software;
good communications skills;
good organizational skills;
positive interpersonal skills
REPORTS TO: Principal
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Required teacher days.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Prmotes direct supervision of students at all times
- Ensures engagement and completion of teachr assigned claswork and homework
- Ensures time-on-task
- Operates and cares for equioment used in the classroom fir instructional purposes
- Distributes and collects workbooks, papers, and other materials for instruction
- Checks and records student attendance
- Monitors and communicates student's progress towards academic and behavioral goals
- Ensures that students are assigned work
- Requests teacher assistance with work when needed
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Works with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills initially introduced by the teacher
- Helps students with assignments
- Helps students master equipment or instructional materials assigned by the teacher
