OVERVIEW
North Bridge offers real estate credit solutions, drawing on decades of collective experience in institutional private equity, development, debt and capital markets. With a $1B commitment from The Carlyle Group, North Bridge originates C-PACE (Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy) financing for all commercial real estate asset classes, targeting institutional borrowers in major markets. North Bridge has won industry awards for some of the largest and most innovative C-PACE transactions in the market. C-PACE is a form of low-cost, long-term, fixed-rate financing that borrowers can use for renovation, new construction and recapitalizations. By offering bespoke structures, including accrued interest, retroactive financing and extended repayment schedules, North Bridge partners with the entire capital stack to maximize project viability and developer success.
North Bridge is seeking to hire an associate with three to five years of experience in real estate debt or equity investing, brokerage, real estate capital markets, or investment banking.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Underwrite transactions from deal origination through execution
- Evaluate prospective financing opportunities
- Generate financial analysis and investment credit memorandums, providing comprehensive analysis
- Perform due diligence, including interacting with third-party service providers and borrowers
- Contribute to the generation of target loan opportunities via database and market analysis
- Aggregate market intel and track market comps
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, real estate, or related discipline
- At least 3-5 years of experience in real estate underwriting in debt, equity, capital markets and/or development
- Strong understanding of financial concepts specific to real estate finance and investment
- Demonstrated experience with detailed property level underwriting
- Excellent attention to detail and work ethic
- Interest in sustainability and climate solutions
- Desire to work in an entrepreneurial, small-team environment
- Strong time management and communication skills - both written and verbal
- Highly motivated, excited to take initiative, and able to work in a high-pressure environment
- Ability and willingness to develop and maintain external relationships
- Exceptional financial modeling and knowledge of MS Excel
- Proficient in MS Word and PowerPoint
Location: Office in Midtown Manhattan; hybrid schedule
Base Salary: Starting at $150K depending on experience; plus performance-based bonus
