What are the responsibilities and job description for the Title I Reading Specialist K-5 position at North Brookfield Public Schools?
Job Description:
•Implement the schoolwide literacy program through coaching, supporting, and guiding teachers in best practices for literacy instruction
•Support students through direct instruction and interventions and/or in consultation with classroom teachers
•Manage the collection, organization, and sharing of student literacy data for the purpose of informing and improving instruction
•Support schoolwide assessments
•Oversee the monitoring of student progress for students receiving Title I reading intervention services for all intervention providers
•Utilize data and knowledge of scientifically-based literacy practices in decision-making
•Serve as a resource for teachers as to how the classroom teacher can provide tier I reading intervention in the classroom
•Complete reading reports for parents detailing a child’s strengths and areas of growth in each area of reading
•Participate in parent conferences to provide instructional suggestions
•Perform other duties as assigned by Principal
