Custodian/Janitor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our Elementary Building, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming of floors.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing as needed.
• Assist with residential painting and minor repairs to maintain facility aesthetics.
• Handle commercial cleaning tasks in various settings including offices, schools, or industrial environments.
• Perform custodial duties such as trash removal and recycling management.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and equipment is properly maintained.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial services or facilities maintenance is preferred.
• Familiarity with floor care processes including buffing and waxing.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to clean and maintain various types of surfaces effectively.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
• Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.
• A commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for all facility users.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
