Description of Work
Reporting to the Associate Wardens for Programs, this position is responsible for providing secretarial/clerical support in the Programs Administrative Services Department. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Performing a variety of processing assistant tasks associated with offender records and with the day to day operations of the facility.
- Maintaining and filing offender records using a systematic filing system.
- Working independently, planning work, and researching and analyzing data for offender records/files.
- Planning work, understanding and carrying out oral and written instructions, reviewing completed tasks to ensure accuracy, and meeting daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
- Performing a variety of office and/or technical tasks to accomplish the specialized processing of information, documents, or materials for offender records.
- Preparing transfer of offender records when requested.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits.

Scotland Correctional Institution is located in Laurinburg, North Carolina and houses up to 1,756 male offenders in a close, medium, and minimum custody facility.
