Responsibilities:

• Serve as a face and personality of the lottery in raising awareness of lottery games and benefits through appearances at marketing and promotional events, in live and pre-recorded multimedia content, and by engaging with winners, beneficiaries, stakeholders and lottery employees.
• Develop ideas and plans for short, long form, and series content for all lottery communication channels, including engaging posts, photos, videos, and stories that captivate audiences, generate engagement, promote the lottery’s games and benefits, and reflect the lottery’s optimistic voice and values in serving a good cause.
• Capture, edit, and deliver broadcast quality video, photo, and audio for all lottery communications channels both in-house and on location that meets the lottery’s high standards and brand guidelines.
• Create content that supports the lottery’s Play Smart program
• Serve as a spokesperson at conferences, beneficiary events, and at civic talks and other events.

Requirements:

• At least three years’ experience in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or social media.

• Demonstrated experience appearing in content as a brand ambassador, or social media influencer, that features a talented and engaging personality.
• Excellent editing, writing skills and strong public speaking skills.
• Demonstrated skill and experience in professional videography, video editing, live streaming, and lighting equipment. Must be able to appear in and produce digital content on your own.
• Demonstrated experience and expertise with social media including Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
• Ability to serve as spokesperson for the lottery, when necessary, and deliver effective presentations to civic groups and other organizations.
• Skills in producing engaging presentations for internal and external groups, including applications such as those in Adobe Creative Cloud, PowerPoint, or Prezi.
• Exceptional skills in producing video content and photography with professional grade camera equipment and with the use of Adobe Creative Suite applications including Adobe Premiere, Express, After Effects, Photoshop and Lightroom.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field of study (communications, public relations, public affairs, marketing, journalism.)
• Skill in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word.
• Superior organizational and problem-solving skills, analytical mind, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
• Proactive mindset with high level of drive, energy, persistence, and initiative.
• Must utilize proper judgment and decision making in day-to-day tasks.
• Ability to take complex subject matter or information and turn it into messages any audience can understand.
• Ability to work in teams across departments to accomplish a common goal.

Hiring Rate: $61,804 (this exempt position will be filled at or near the posted salary)
