Summary Description :
The Data Scientist joins a team responsible for gathering, relating, and modeling data that visualize current realities and forecast apparent trends. They will be developing advanced analytics products by applying data visualization and statistical programming tools to enterprise data to facilitate understanding and advance key mission outcomes. In this role, they will support all phases of analytic work product development, from the identification of key business questions, through data collection, ETL, EDA, and data model design, from performing analyses and using statistical, machine learning, and applied mathematical techniques to deliver insights to decision-makers.
Academic and Trade Qualifications :
Four-year degree in an analytically applied field such as Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or other STEM degree, and at least three years of experience. Graduate degree preferred.
Work Experience : Preferred :
- Working with and modeling large volumes of time-series data
- Mathematical modeling and optimization
- Programming skills in SQL and Python
- PowerBI or other data visualization software
- Azure or other cloud environment and Databricks
- Electric utility or related industry experience along with load forecasting a plus
