What are the responsibilities and job description for the Game Day Box Office & Merchandise Staff position at North Carolina Football Club?
The North Carolina Football Club, owner, and operator of two affiliated professional soccer teams: the North Carolina Courage (NWSL) and North Carolina FC (USL Championship), is seeking Part-Time Box Office and Merchandise Staff. This position will serve to create a successful fan experience both the NC Courage and NCFC teams, by being a customer service agent for the in-game fan experience and serving the patrons attending games at WakeMed Soccer Park to help maintain a fan-friendly, safe, and exciting environment, with the overall goal of growing and strengthening the Club's connection with our fan base.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Merchandise
• Assist with setup of merchandise areas at the stadium for efficiency and presentation.
• Sell and promote merchandise to fans throughout the game.
• Receive and act on complaints from guests. Contact a supervisor or manager if needed.
• Know the layout of the stadium to direct guests.
• Knows weather and emergency protocols. Provides direction in a calm manner to fans in the event of an emergency (ex: lightning delays)
• Knows and understands all North Carolina Football Club policies and procedures relating to fan interaction and game days.
• All employees must practice safe work habits to ensure event production on game days is as efficient and safe as possible.
Box Office
• Assist with setup of the box office upon arrival.
• Sell tickets to fans starting from the time parking opens.
• Troubleshoot ticket issues and contact a supervisor or manager if need be.
• Receive and act on complaints from guests. Contact a supervisor or manager if needed.
• Knows the layout of the stadium to direct guests.
• Knows weather and emergency protocols. Provides direction in a calm manner to fans in the event of an emergency (ex: lightning delays)
• Knows and understands all North Carolina Football Club policies and procedures relating to fan interaction and game days.
• All employees must practice safe work habits to ensure event production on game days is as efficient and safe as possible.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on the event schedule.
• Must be able to work at least 75% of home games for both the NCFC and NC Courage teams throughout the 2025 season.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, fans, and other office staff.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively.
• Provide excellent customer service and interactions with fans to ensure they are maximizing their game day experience enjoyment.
