Recruitment Range : $42,000 - $46,000 Annually
The North Carolina General Assembly is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, outgoing, and flexible Office Assistant to provide nonpartisan administrative front office support to numerous Legislative offices. The primary responsibility of the Office Assistant is to provide office and clerical support as needed to various offices, ensuring efficient operation and workflow of the office.
Job responsibilities may include the following :
Daily Correspondence - Answers the telephone, responds to emails, and provides general legislative information to legislators, legislative staff, and the public.
Office Equipment - Operates office equipment and new technologies as they are developed and implemented.
The Office Assistant will work under the direct supervision of the Human Resources Office, or under individual division or office management authorities. The work schedule is consistently 40 hours per week, typically between the hours of 7 : 30 A.M. to 5 : 30 P.M., but may vary given the office location, Monday through Friday. The position also requires the ability to be extremely flexible, occasionally working extended hours and weekends to meet the needs of the legislative session.
