Description of Duties:
Coaches are responsible for organizing and maintaining an Interscholastic team. Coaches are expected to create an atmosphere which will promote group and individual growth both in athletic skills and the concepts of teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship.
Coaches should have a thorough knowledge of all NCSSM and NCHSAA athletic policies and be responsible for their implementation for their team. Coaches work with the NCSSM athletics department to communicate expectations and information to student athletes on their teams. Coaches are required to be CPR certified and to complete NFHS coursework as required by the NCHSAA. Coaches will be required to drive school vehicles so they must have a clean driving record. CDL preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of the sport of track, techniques, and ability to plan and facilitate practical activities throughout the spring season. The responsibilities will include assisting with the design of practice planning, administering practice implantation, organizing and helping facilitate travel logistics, organizing meet preparation, and managing meet day preparation.
Minimum Education and Experience:
High school diploma.
Salary : $2,800
