About the Department | The NC State Veterinary Hospital (VH), established in 1983, is one of the highest rated academic medical centers in the country, serving communities throughout North Carolina as well as many other states. The mission of the Veterinary Hospital is three-fold:
With over 17 clinical services staffed by board certified specialists, many of whom are not only nationally but also internationally renowned, the VH is on the cutting edge of veterinary medicine. Patients benefit from the combined expertise of multiple specialists utilizing a team approach to patient health care. Each year, over 35,000 patients are treated in the VH. The Small Animal Emergency & Critical Care (ECC) service at NC State Veterinary Hospital is a busy service that is comprised of ACVECC Diplomates, staff emergency veterinarians, ECC residents, ECC Interns, and over 20 certified veterinary technicians. The successful candidate will be expected to be an active member of the section and contribute to our delivery of exceptional patient care and exemplary teaching. |
