| Essential Job Duties | The NC State College of Engineering invites applications for an open rank professional track faculty position in the area of batteries and energy storage. Candidates will primarily support the educational mission of the COE Battery and Energy Storage Initiative. The academic home of the successful candidate will be a suitable department within the College of Engineering. The candidate is welcome to express preference(s) for a home department. The successful candidate will be an active contributor to the Battery and Energy Storage Initiative. The primary responsibilities of the successful candidate are developing, teaching, and coordinating multidisciplinary courses in batteries and energy storage, including laboratory courses, and developing a battery and energy storage certificate and other programs in consultation with the COE Battery and Energy Storage Initiative leadership. The individual is expected to participate in ABET and student outcome evaluations. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in extension and outreach including connecting and partnering with companies for projects involving students, to aid in student placement, and to aid in student recruitment.
