What are the responsibilities and job description for the Postdoctoral Researcher position at North Carolina State University?
Come join our group and work at the intersection of condensed matter physics and quantum information!
The ideal candidate will have experience in some of the following areas:
* condensed matter theory
* quantum algorithm development
* modeling open quantum systems (such as with Lindblad formalism)
* Lie algebras
* running quantum circuits on noisy simulators and hardware
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to conduct interdisciplinary research
in our group research areas, or in similarly interdisciplinary fields. The ideal candidate will also be able to learn new tools independently, to work on multiple (related) projects simultaneously, and to have a keen interest in mentoring graduate student(s).
Given the highly interdisciplinary nature of the work, we welcome candidates of diverse
backgrounds with PhDs in broadly related fields.
