Financial Controller( BA req - 5 yrs exp req)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to lead our accounting operations, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and support strategic financial planning. The Controller will be responsible for managing the company's accounting policies, procedures, and reporting systems. This is a key leadership role within the finance department that requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of GAAP, and the ability to lead a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and management reports
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts; report variances
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Lead the coordination and successful completion of annual audits
• Work closely with the CEO to provide financial insight and strategy
• Supervise accounting staff and mentor team members

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance
• Proven working experience as a Controller or similar role (5 years preferred)
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures (GAAP)
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills (e.g., ADP, QuickBooks, Microsoft 365)
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
