Description of Job Duties
This position has recruiting, leadership, administrative, communication, writing, and coaching components. Responsibilities include assisting with the coordination and administrative duties of the programs.
Essential Functions :
Assist the head coach with organizing, preparing, and conducting individual and team practices.
Source and recruit prospective student athletes that meet NCC admission requirements.
Schedule on-campus visits in conjunction with the admissions department.
Event planning for home competition and alumni events.
Writing and directing practices.
Plan team meals and transportation to and from competitions.
Assist with administrative duties such as meet entry.
Build positive relationships with current team members to motivate and encourage effective training strategies.
Assist with follow up of donors and alums.
Other duties as assigned.
This position complements the knowledge and skills that students will learn in the Higher Education Leadership, Liberal Studies, Organizational Leadership, Professional and Creative Writing, Sports Leadership, MBA, and Human Resource Management programs.

Job Qualifications
Required :
Accepted into a graduate program at North Central College.
Swim team experience - either as a swimmer or coach - or athletic administrative experience.
Current CPR / AED and First Aid certification, or eligibility to become current.
Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Able and willing to travel with the teams as needed, including nights and weekends.
Preferred :
Experience in college athletics strongly preferred.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record strongly preferred.
