What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietitian (Occasional) position at North Central Health Care?
The Opportunity:
A Dietitian coordinates nutritional care for residents or clients, participates in resident, family, and staff teaching. This position provides leadership by working cooperatively with team members, ancillary food service staff and other personnel in maintaining standards for the practice of dietetics.
This is a unique opening where we are looking for someone who is able to work in a capacity that would cover planned vacations and occasional absences for our existing team.
Starting pay $32.50 to $35.50 per hour, based on experience

What You’ll Do:
- Conducts a nutrition assessment for residents per facility policies and procedures
- Develops and implements an individualized plan for nutrition intervention based on nutrition assessment and evidence-based standards.
- Assess educational needs and provide nutrition counseling for individuals
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team in meetings and/or rounds
- Experience with electronic charting, the Nutrition Care Process and to complete appropriate documentation for the plan of care
- Works cooperatively with food service staff to ensure proper diet orders are provided
- Ability to perform work independently
What You Bring:
- Current Registered Dietitian credentialed
- Preferred 1-3 years relevant experience
