The Protective Services Representative is responsible for coordinating necessary action for the appointment of a guardian and protective services or placement, including required evaluations, organizing follow-up, completely court reports for cases on an assigned caseload and conducting adult / elder abuse / neglect investigations.
This is a full-time, in person position. The starting pay for this role is $27.00 and up, based on experience.

What You’ll Do :
- Completes adult at risk intakes and investigations, including emergency and crisis situations.
- Completes required court appearances and provides effective testimony.
- Completes necessary court reports and follow up for assigned caseload. Meets mandatory timeframes, timely notification of changes and accomplishes court order changes in accordance with State statutes.
- Evaluates and applies applicable statutes and collateral assessments to formulate comprehensive evaluations, protective placement reviews and make recommendations to the court for least restrictive services.
- Evaluates and assesses client needs and refer to appropriate services / agencies / providers.
- Coordinates petitions for guardianships and protective services or placement and all proceedings and actions.
- Consults with attorneys, medical professionals, mental health, and other social service professionals to ensure an interdisciplinary approach to care
- Balances client rights with protections of guardianship and protective placement for incompetent people and clients’ right to self-determination.
- Maintains professional boundaries in all interactions.
- Demonstrates ability to maintain initial caseload while intervening on at risk cases and completing case review.
