The Opportunity:
The Social Worker -MSW is a strategic member of the inpatient hospital treatment team and supports the patient with safety planning, recommendations and referrals to other social services, placements in outside care systems, and coordination of care with family members/other supports and other providers regarding the needs of the patient. The MSW ensures adequate safety and crisis planning is carried out with the clients and their parents/guardians or placements
This role is full-time, on-site. Starting pay up to $35.50 per hour, based on experience.

What You’ll Do:
- Assists in the supervision/clinical oversight of other Social Work staff (Bachelors prepared Social Worker, SAC, and SAC-IT).
- Responsible for timely completion of psychosocial assessments, Treatment Plan and Treatment Plan Reviews, and Discharge Summaries.
- Responsible for appropriate Case Management/Discharge Planning based on patient need.
- Makes appropriate and timely referrals to other agencies based on patient need and services required.
- Performs social counseling services for individuals, families, and groups.
- Assists in the completion of patient aftercare forms.
- Provides clinical review/discharge reports to insurance companies as appropriate.
- Provides clinical consultation and supervision to Chp-34 Emergency Mental Health Service Program staff. Approves crisis assessments and crisis plans for Chp-34 Emergency Mental Health Service Program.
- Makes treatment recommendations to county corporation counsel and Human Service Departments.
- Assures that patient care provided in the department is completed in a respectful manner that upholds the dignity and rights for adolescent and adult patients.
- Maintains regular on-site attendance
What You Bring:
- Master's degree in Social Work earned from an accredited college or university academic program
- Current Wisconsin Advanced Practice Social Worker, Independent Social Worker, or Clinical Social Worker license
- Minimum one year of social work and discharge planning experience
- Preferred three or more years of social work experience.
