What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinic Nurse position at North Central Missouri Mental Health Center?
A. DEFINITION
The Clinic Nurse provides assistance to the Prescriber and to the Director of Nursing.
B. DUTIES
1. Provide minor medical update for prescriber (i.e., blood pressure, height, weight, etc.) when requested.
2. Assist the DON with scheduling new client psychiatric evaluations.
3. Assist the DON with tracking of pharmaceutical representative sample medications.
4. Be cross-trained and able to fill in for other nurses as requested.
5. Be cross-trained and able to fill in for telepsychiatry staff as requested.
6. Complete and sign documentation or related paperwork contemporaneously with service provision (within five (5) business days) and in accordance with agency and certification standards.
7. Educate clients about medications and side-effects.
8. Assist clients in obtaining medication.
9. Participate in the staffing process, and treatment planning as applicable.
10. Participate in inservice training as requested.
11. Maintain current CPR certification.
12. Maintain client confidentiality.
13. Perform related work as requested to carry out the purposes, goals and objectives of the agency.
C. QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed in the State of Missouri as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with at least two (2) years qualifying experience in psychiatric, substance use treatment, or developmental disabilities. Must have a valid driver’s license, automobile and required liability insurance.

Pay: $20.98 - $27.18 per hour
