What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vehicle Wrap Technician position at North Central Regional Transit District?
Under general supervision, performs a variety of journey-level tasks related to the production, installation, removal and repair of vinyl wraps and window tint for District vehicles, equipment or facilities and performs related work as required.

Licenses and Certifications:
- Use District vinyl printing equipment, tools and software to measure, produce, cut, mask and weed vinyl for vehicle wrapping.
- Properly prepare and install full vehicle wraps, vinyl lettering; including but not limited to installation of print graphic applications on all types of District vehicles.
- Properly prepare and install window tint; including but not limited to measuring glass to the right vehicle specifications, cut to the right size and apply the tinting.
- Preparation of vehicles for installation; washing/cleaning, isopropyl alcohol, primer application, removal of badges and misc. parts ie: mirror, wipers, handles, etc.
- Proper and careful removal of existing graphics wraps and adhesive while not damaging District property.
- Performs routine administrative duties; periodically inventories supplies and equipment and investigates new and improved processes; assists in establishing vehicle wrapping priorities.
- Performs general recordkeeping; records completed tasks on work orders; uses a computer terminal for data entry, inquiries, and modification.
- Safely operates electrical and air powered tools, , hydraulic, pneumatic, and other mechanical tools, and/or other equipment as assigned; handles hazardous materials safely; conforms to all safety regulations and practices.
- Observes and complies with all District and mandated safety rules, regulations, and protocols.

Education:
- Equivalent to completion of the twelfth (12th) grade, supplemented by specialized training in vehicle graphics application.
- Two (2) years of experience in the production, installation, or repair of vinyl vehicle wraps or a related field.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver’s License, to be maintained throughout employment.
- Possession of, or successful acquisition within six (6) months of employment, a valid State of New Mexico Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A or B) with multi-passenger “P” endorsement and airbrake certification, to be maintained throughout employment.
