Part-Time Writing Tutor

Job Summary : Seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Part-Time Writing Tutor to support students in the Student Success Writing Center on the Gainesville Campus. This role involves assisting students in developing their writing skills across various in-person and virtual disciplines.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions to support students in writing across the curriculum.
- Assist students in improving writing structure, grammar, clarity, and argumentation.
- Utilize virtual tutoring platforms and technology to conduct online sessions effectively.
- Implement study skill techniques to help students develop strong academic habits.
- Support students with learning differences by employing appropriate instructional strategies.
- Maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff to enhance student success.
- Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change based on the needs of the department and the institution.
Required Education : Bachelor's degree in a related field with a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
