About The Position


Hours:  8:00 AM to 4:30 PM ET, Monday to Friday

Location: HYBRID in Doral, FL, 1st 90 days FULLY ONSITE for Training


The Charge Capture and Order Processing Specialist II takes on more complex charge capture tasks and assists in resolving discrepancies between documentation and charges. This position involves working closely with healthcare providers to ensure all services are properly documented and captured for billing.


Essential Functions

  • Processes and validates more complex charges, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Resolves discrepancies between documentation and charges, collaborating with operations team to address issues.
  • Assures accurate codes coincide with the charges of processing orders.
  • Participates in audits and compliance reviews to ensure accurate charge capture.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of payer regulations and organizational policies.
  • Reviews and validates charges for accuracy and completeness before submission.
  • Ensures that all services are documented and captured in the patient’s medical record.
  • Enters and verifies charges in the healthcare billing system.
  • Collaborates with both internal and external operations team to make sure charges and codes match what has been authorized.
  • Assists with routine audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Maintains accurate records and documentation of all charge capture activities.
  • Ensures timely submission and follow-up on exceptions and rejected work orders. 
  • Collaborates with the leads, supervisors, managers and operations team to ensure accuracy of information. 
  • Complies with HIPAA rules, appropriately safeguarding PHI or other private & confidential information.
  • Maintains accurate and detailed notes in the company system.
  • Adapts quickly to frequent process changes and improvements.
  • Is reliable, engaged, and provides feedback to improve processes and policies.
  • Attends all department, team, and weekly company meetings as required.
  • Appropriately routes incoming calls when necessary.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • 1 year experience in order processing, or related field. 
  • Intermediate Knowledge of insurance, billing, and processing claims
  • Intermediate knowledge of order management systems.; familiarity with a variety of medical and/or insurance terms or practices
  • Proficiency in basic math and business calculations
  • Working knowledge of computer/data entry with the ability to learn new systems
  • Intermediate level of MS Office proficiency

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Pay Range and Compensation Package 


Pay ranges may vary depending on location. Actual compensation depends on education, experience, and relevant skills.
