Peer Recovery Supervisor – Addiction Response Team (ART)
Position Title : Peer Recovery Supervisor, Addiction Response Team
Position Status : Full Time, 40 Hours per Week
FLSA Status : Salaried / Exempt
The ART Peer Recovery Supervisor is responsible for the daily oversight of Peer Specialists & Addiction Recovery Team. This position is a first line leadership role and reports to the Program Manager of the Addiction Response Team. This position will focus on the supports needed to grow, develop, and support a team of addiction professionals with lived experience, lead education efforts with local partner agencies to enhance skill and knowledge around the supervision of this unique workforce. This position will lead collaboration efforts with local partner agencies to coordinate outreach, facilitate engagement opportunities, identify barriers to care, treatment, and recovery for those using substances in our community, and support, expand and manage the facilitation of recovery services in Northern Colorado.
Job Responsibilities
- Support, Development / Mentorship and Programmatic Needs of the Peer Specialist team
- Support the Peer Specialists and Care Coordinators in understanding and performing primary activities including but not limited to outreach and engagement of community members, community member and organizational education, building connection with new people to engage in treatment and recovery services, and organization and facilitation of community support groups
- Daily oversight of Peer Specialist & Care Coordination Activities including NCHA & community engagement site representation, documentation, reporting, case reviews, and assignment of workflows
- Timecard Completion, shift scheduling, employee onboarding, staff education, performance reviews, professional development, and talent management
- Participate in case reviews with multidisciplinary team
- Support persons enrolled in MAT to continue engagement with both medical and behavioral health treatment plans
- Answer CO-SLAW hotline referrals and process in Healthcloud as needed to be directed to staff for outreach
- Problem solve unique situations with staff, and coordinate with other leadership as needed
- Support Peer Staff with recovery coaching and supervision
- Support the needs of the organization and the Program Manager of the Addiction Response Team and Senior Leadership of NCHA
- Coordinate with the Program Manager to ensure presence in NCHA offices, community partner meetings and programming
- Understanding and compliance of safety measures and protocols of the Addiction Response Team
- Understanding of and support with reporting and program deliverables including benchmarks, metrics, and KPI
- Support the Program Manager in the pursuit of new funding to support the sustainability and growth of program offerings
- Coordination with the Program Manager and Senior Leadership regarding sensitive employee issues
- Assist the Program Manager in ensuring all programs function within the approved budget and grant contract requirements
- Ensure accurate records are kept and turned into Senior Leadership for funding incentives including gift cards, bus passes, and any other member needs.
- Strict confidentiality of records and communications
- Support and foster the needs of the Community
- Develop, market, and facilitate community peer recovery professional network & coaching meetings
- Coordinate with the Program Manager, the development of new Peer & Recovery Support Program offerings for the community
- Cultivate and expand relationships with community organizations and potential partners
- Build and manage regional coalitions and community partnerships
- Participate in Housing 1st, Harm Reduction, Person-Centered and trauma-informed care trainings and practice
- Develop Care Coordination & Peer Support Agreements and workflows with partner organizations (as needed)
