We are proud of our Family Medicine Physician Residency, our medical education programs, and our passionate team.DescriptionThe Employee Health Patient Navigator, under the guidance of the Employee Health Lead, ensures compliance with health requirements for new hires and existing employees, facilitating communication and education around Employee Health services. This role is also responsible for creating and presenting educational and training materials for staff related to Employee Health, Infection Prevention and Control and other topics.Duties Assists the Employee Health Lead in creating and maintaining accurate Employee Health records for all NCHC employees.Verifies Employee Health records using the Arizona Immunization Registry (ASIIS).Identifies and rectifies inaccuracies or deficiencies in employee vaccination records.Communicates Employee Health requirements to new hires during onboarding.Ensures new and existing staff understand vaccination protocols, TB risk assessments, and related health issues.Collects and reviews annual Employee Health requirements for existing staff.Addresses and resolves any deficiencies in employee health requirements promptly.Educates employees on infection prevention and control and workplace health and safety topics. Creates and maintains up-to-date educational and training materials.Follows up with employees who have experienced Occupational Exposures to Blood Borne Pathogens.Supports Clinic Managers in preparing for state surveys.Assists front and back office staff with scheduling Employee Health services.Ensures proper documentation of Employee Health services is maintained.Maintains confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.Demonstrates cultural competence in all employee interactions.Complies with NCHC's Telecommuting Policy when working remotely.Models professional standards through regular attendance at meetings.Engages in continuous learning for personal and professional development.Communicates responsibly by reviewing and responding to company emails.Maintains relevant certifications, such as CMA or higher clinical certification.Provides oversight and constructive feedback to meet quality improvement goals.Assumes responsibilities temporarily of Employee Health Lead when Lead is out of office for PST, PTO, etc.RequirementsAssociate's Degree in a related field such as nursing, health sciences, or medical assisting1-2 years of related experience or training.MA, LPN, or RN licensure required.Basic Life Support required upon hire.3-4 years experience in the medical field preferred.
