Description
The Pharmacy Technician is expected to be a dependable, hardworking, accountable, detail-oriented pharmacy customer service agent that will assist in the preparation and dispensation of prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist. Their efforts will help the pharmacy operate efficiently and accurately, in compliance with all regulations and policies. They should be driven to provide quality customer service in a fast-paced environment and work well with a dynamic team to benefit patients and the organizational mission.
Duties
- Mixes pharmaceutical preparation, fills bottles with prescribed tablets and capsules, and types labels for bottles.
- Assist Pharmacist to prepare and dispense medication.
- Receives and stores incoming supplies.
- Counts stock and enters date in computer to maintain inventory records.
- Processes records of medication and equipment dispensed to customer, computers, charges, and enters date in computer.
- Cleans equipment and sterilizes glassware according to prescribed methods.
- Interacts with other medical professionals to fulfill clinic stocking needs.
Requirements
- High School diploma.
- 5 years' related experience or training preferred.
Compensation
Starting at $17.36/hr DOE
