Our patient's health is our priority, and we go above and beyond to care in every way possible.Position StatementThe Primary Care Educator is responsible for coordinating the education, training, and professional development of the staff in primary care, coordinating medical practice orientation, competency evaluations and maintenance, orientation programs and in-services.Key Responsibilities :
- Coordinates primary care staff orientation.
- Develops, reviews and ensures the maintenance of competencies.
- Provides ongoing education to all primary care staff, including the community health team and primary care providers.
- Serves as a resource to staff, managers, directors and providers within primary care.
- Assists with continuous quality improvement readiness, planning and activities to ensure compliance with quality standards such as, but not limited to, NCQA and Meaningful Use or their equivalents.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
- Current RN licensure in the State of Vermont required; BSN or MSN preferred.
- Requires experience in designing educational programs and adult teaching / learning principles.
- Requires excellent skills in communication, interpersonal skills and educating.
- Requires excellent skills in organization, research and mentoring.
- Requires ability to work with significant autonomy while collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
- Requires ability to flex hours to meet primary care practice needs. Learn More
