What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Production Worker position at North Country Smokehouse?
Hours 3:30pm-12am
This position will be responsible for boxing finished products, palletizing in a refrigerated environment while ensuring safe actions, and environmental compliance in a Good Manufacturing Practice food-grade operation. All in compliance with the standards of wholesomeness, hygiene, health & safety at work.
DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:
- Box finished product
- Put over scale
- Assign lot numbers
- Palletize
- Put boxes together
- Ensures all specifications and procedures for quality assurance and control are met
- Performs other tasks at the request of immediate superior
PERSON TO SUPERVISE:
- Position with staff supervision

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or G.E.D
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Highly detail oriented and meticulous
- Autonomy, versatility, thoroughness, and resourcefulness
- Good operational judgment (initiative)
- Strong commitment to teamwork and concern for others
- High level of personal responsibility and ownership
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic mathematical skills in weights, temperatures, times, and general numbers
- Able to work in a cold/hot environment
- Wear bump cap, earmuffs, safety boots and gloves at all times
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and depth perception acuities.
- Follow and promote safe work practices
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
